CT-Luso project coordinators received at the Portuguese Embassy in Mozambique

The coordinators of the CT Luso project – Ethical and Regulatory Training Project for carrying out Clinical Trials, Hélder Mota Filipe and Maria do Céu Patrão Neves, were received in an audience, on April 3rd, at the Embassy of Portugal in Mozambique, by Mrs. Minister Counselor, Rita Araújo. The project manager, Marisa Moreira, and the general secretary of the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society, Ricardo Santos, were also present at this hearing.

Those responsible presented institutional greetings to the Minister Counselor and invited her to be present at the launch meeting of the CT-Luso Project, on April 4th, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, in Maputo, broadcast live to the various Portuguese-speaking African countries involved in the initiative.

During the visit to the embassy, ​​the coordinators of CT Luso highlighted the importance of this project that arises from a partnership between Europe and Developing Countries for the Conduct of Clinical Trials, emphasizing the importance of promoting ethical and regulatory training in all partner countries to implement reception, collaboration and leadership in the conduct of clinical trials, in strict compliance with good international biomedical practices.

CT Luso, approved and financed by the EDCTP3 Program, is an aggregating project that involves Angola, Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe and Portugal, through Ethics Authorities and Regulatory Authorities, National Institutes of Health, Universities, among other institutions, from each country, bringing together experts in the areas of ethics, regulation, biomedical research and clinical trials.
