The CT-Luso Project held its third meeting on 6 November, via the Zoom platform, with the presence of representatives from the five partner countries. The aim of the meeting, led by Maria do Céu Patrão Neves, was to review and advance Action Plans 3 and 4, as well as to present communication and dissemination strategies.

At the opening, the project's coordinator, Maria do Céu Patrão Neves, presented the balance of Action Plan 4 (WP4), highlighting that more than a hundred applications to the training programme have already been received. Dissemination among partners, including regulatory authorities and ethics committees, was encouraged. After the initial presentation, project consultant Maria Alexandra Ribeiro detailed the next steps, which include selecting candidates for the training programme.

With regard to Action Plan 3 (WP3), Carla Barbosa, from the Biomedical Law Centre, presented updates on the working documents, including tables summarising the legislative survey and ethical and legal criteria for clinical trials in Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe.

In the final moments of the meeting, communications advisor Ana Sofia Calaça emphasised the importance of the project's digital communication, encouraging the use of LinkedIn and the sharing of content between partners.
Project manager Catarina Sobrinho presented progress on the creation of the digital e-learning platform, which is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

The meeting ended with thanks from Maria do Céu Patrão Neves and confirmation of the next session, scheduled for 4 December at 17:00 (mainland Portugal time).
