The most recent monthly CT-Luso coordination meeting, held on 9 February, reinforced the commitment to collaboration between Portuguese-speaking countries, with the announcement of visits to the embassies of Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe.

The project's coordinator, Maria do Céu Patrão Neves, presented the progress made in the legislative survey and the ethical and legal criteria for clinical trials in Portuguese-speaking countries, informing that the documents drawn up are in the final stages of revision and that the results of this work will be submitted to the European Commission by the end of the month.

Maria Alexandra Ribeiro gave an assessment of the second module of the training, which included four teaching sessions, including one with the participation of professor and science communication expert António Granado. The project consultant also introduced the third module of the training, entitled International Bioethics Institutions and Guidelines for Health-Related Research and Practice, presenting the content that will be taught throughout the sessions.

In the area of diplomacy and international cooperation, Maria do Céu Patrão Neves highlighted the meetings held with the ambassadors of São Tomé and Príncipe and Mozambique, on 6 and 7 February respectively, to present the project and strengthen strategic partnerships. Other meetings with embassies will be scheduled soon.

At this sixth monthly meeting, the project's communications advisor, Ana Sofia Calaça, also presented the new dissemination strategies, in particular the monthly newsletter sent via a mailing list platform to a wide list of contacts in Portuguese-speaking countries.
