Psychologist and president of the National Ethics Committee for Health Research, José António Reis, shared his testimony about the CT Luso Training Cycle in a new video post.

The psychologist emphasized the importance of the training, which ran from December 2024 to June 2025, in promoting sound ethical practices and improving the quality of health research in Portuguese-speaking countries. His intervention reflects not only the personal and professional impact of the experience, but also the strategic importance of continuing the program.

José António Reis emphasized that the Training Cycle is an essential tool for consolidating skills and fostering in-depth reflection on integrity and responsibility in research. He emphasized how the initiative combines solid theoretical content with a space for dialogue and experience sharing, providing participants with a more comprehensive understanding of the ethical framework that should guide scientific activity. The president of the National Ethics Committee for Health Research also emphasized that the experience should be understood as a starting point, not an end. He argued that the program's continuity is crucial to ensure that the best disseminated practices are consolidated over time and translate into concrete benefits for communities and institutions. The continuity of this work is not only desirable, but essential to sustaining a culture of ethics and integrity capable of meeting the present and future challenges of health research in the Portuguese-speaking world.
