At the 13th CT-Luso project coordination meeting, held on October 1 via Zoom, an assessment was made of the Workshop and International Lusophone Symposium. Cape Verdeans Eduardo Tavares and António José Reis highlighted the importance of joint work between countries, the convergence achieved, and the good organization of the meeting, factors that contributed to intense but productive days. Mouhammed Djicó from Guinea-Bissau also gave a positive assessment, emphasizing the constructive atmosphere and the positive way in which the meetings took place.

The meeting also addressed the next steps for CT-Luso, with emphasis on the calendar of webinars that will complement the training already carried out. The main topics emerged from a prospective consultation conducted through an online survey. The program kicks off in October with a session on food security and continues monthly until May 2026, covering topics such as regulation, public health and epidemiology, research in vulnerable populations, innovation in health, and traditional medicines. These online meetings will be open to everyone and aim to delve deeper into topics considered priorities by the trainees.

The next training cycle will begin in November, continuing the ethical and regulatory training work initiated by the project. The goal is to consolidate knowledge, strengthen practical skills, and support countries in creating robust legislative and regulatory frameworks capable of responding to international requirements in the area of clinical research.
