The International Lusophone Symposium ‘Lusophone regulatory and procedural harmonisation for clinical trials: is it possible?’ will take place on 25 September 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society. See the PROGRAMME.
This symposium is part of the CT-Luso Project, an initiative dedicated to ethical and regulatory training in the area of clinical trials in Portuguese-speaking African countries. It will be attended by institutional representatives from Portugal, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, and São Tomé and Príncipe. It will also feature a round table with the ambassadors of Portuguese-speaking countries, accredited in Lisbon, to discuss strategies for making clinical trials in these countries more attractive.
As part of the symposium, the exhibition ‘Sentidos da África Lusófona’ (Senses of Portuguese-speaking Africa) will be inaugurated, a celebration of the culture and traditions of the PALOP countries.
Participation is free of charge, subject to prior registration, in order to ensure the best organisation of the space. The event will also be streamed live, with access reserved for Portuguese-speaking countries.
